A place filled with authenticity
Verez is come upon after a few kilometers’ drive down a small road, or should we say a trail.
Verez’s unspoiled, woodland setting is absolutely delightful.
Why come to Verez ?
Come to Verez first and foremost to discover the way of life on a vineyard over the course of four seasons. Wine making operations, farming methods and a certain understanding of the earth shape the ambiance that is found on the Estate. Being at Verez is living on an active, family farm.
Come to Verez for the simple pleasure of staying in a family farmhouse; one that allows you to enjoy time together without feeling crowded; one that allows you to retreat for an afternoon nap or a bit of quiet reading, but above all one that epitomizes the saying “the more the merrier!”
An finally, come to Verez to experience nature at its fullest. Far from the village or even streets, for as far as the eye can see, one is immersed in landscapes bathed in the southern light with the sound of cicadas chirping in the background, bringing to mind the sort of Provence depicted by Pagnol. Stargazers, moon watchers and sunrise enthusiasts will be thoroughly content!
As you will quickly understand, Verez is made to be shared.
And Verez shares back, if you allow yourself to be tempted by the country living experience it offers.
THANKS TO ITS EXCELLENT LOCATION, VEREZ IS THE PERFECT BASE FOR DISCOVERING THE REGION.
Verez is located in the center of the Var, between the backcountry of the Haut Var and the coast. In the heart of the county, Verez allows you to reach many touristic places in less than an hour:
From Verez, many surrounding areas are easily accessible: the cities of Aix-en-Provence and Saint Maximin, the perched villages of Entrecastaux, Cotignac and Tourtour, ... the symbolic sites of Sainte Baume and the Thoronnet Abbey, La Chartreuse of the Verne in the middle of the Maures mountains, and also not far off, the magnificent Gorges du Verdon.
Also a few kilometers away, seaside resorts such as Roches Rouges, the Gulf of Saint-Tropez or Le Lavandou, which boast some of the most beautiful beaches on the coast, including the legendary Pampelonne beach, all make for great family excursions.
Finally, day trips to the major cities of Marseille, Cannes, Nice or Monaco are definitely feasible.
During the long summer season, the region offers many music and theater outings. The most famous festivals are open to the public, but it is always safer to make an advance reservation.
During your stay at Verez, we would be happy to share with you our thoughts and suggestions on some of the things we love, our favorite places to go, and the best spots in the region.
...the country is high perched. A plateau dotted with gentle hills. As soon as we see it we know that we will soon find rest.” Jean Giono
